Marce de Medeiros

Teaches AI & Sculpture

With an interdisciplinary background that merges industrial design, architecture, and research in processes and materials, my professional practice is structured around Research and Development (R&D) in design, conceptualization and development of products, spaces, and experiences, creative direction, and sustainability consulting.

So, my alibi in life is that I am a designer and sometimes an artist.

The truth is that I love to complicate my life by questioning how, with what and why things are done. I usually do it by mixing tradition and technology in manufacturing. And the result is often useful. Taking a closer look at things has given me the possibility of working as a freelance for many institutions, brands, companies and individuals.

“I think that understanding AI as another link in the artistic process is fundamental to navigating the hinge moment we live in and can serve as a cognitive bridge over the gap between the digital and the physical universe.”
