Carla de la Torre

Teaches Creative Research

I’m a designer and creative working at the intersection of design, media and cultural inquiry. With a background in Graphic Design and a Master’s in Data & Design, I now work independently exploring how images, narratives and emerging technologies shape our collective imaginaries.

I work at the intersection of design, media and visual research to understand how images and technology shape the way we read reality. Our process blends critical sensitivity, expectation-free experimentation and a conscious sense of humor to navigate a visual landscape that moves faster than the language that describes it. I use AI as material to expand possibilities, not as an oracle. We collaborate with people, collectives and brands who want to say something, not just circulate it.

“No AI reality exists without a human behind it.”
